About

Rust and Ruin Reborn

At Maliasmark, we live by our tagline, Rust and Ruin, Reborn. We are driven by the knowledge that there are so many things that do not belong in a landfill. Whether they can still actually be used for their intended purpose, used in new and interesting ways, or just set on a shelf to bring a smile to our faces, we save these pieces from the past so they can be given a new future.

We believe that your perfect space is not decorated but collected. Our customers are constantly looking for that next perfect piece. So, we tend to buy in collections and we want it all. Good news for decorators, for those decorating their own home in a theme, and for those who like a selection!

We try to keep our prices reasonable and competitive. Many times, you'll find that choosing to buy a vintage item is not only satisfying socially but also cheaper and of better quality than something new. Thank you for supporting a small independent business!

I love wood. I love rust. I love metal. I love the history and character of the things of the past. I love passing them along to new homes where they will be loved. I love making something new out of something old. I love doing something unexpected.

Frequently asked questions
What can I expect to receive back for a return or exchange?

You will receive the sales price of the item, minus return shipping. We will always let you know the exact amount you can expect to receive back before we send you a return label so that you can make an informed decision. Original shipping charges are not refundable. Item must be received back in the condition it was sent.

If I am returning an item, do I have to purchase return shipping?

You may choose to pay for your own return shipping label but there is no need. We will email you a return shipping label and deduct the cost from your refund amount. This is suggested as we have business discounts for shipping.

Under what circumstances do you accept returns?

Although we do accept returns, we highly suggest that you review all photos and complete descriptions before purchasing. Most items are not in perfect condition and we do our best to show and describe any imperfections that make our items unique. While you can return, it does cost you for return shipping so our ultimate goal is to make sure you are happy with each item.
