Why I make dolls

I reopened Marzipantz shop because I was in love with so many of the gorgeous heirloom quality dolls out there, and I wanted there to be an heirloom quality option for Catholic saint dolls. I played around with some drawings, drafted my first patterns, and my first set of dolls was for my own children for their Easter baskets.

Now, my shop operates almost entirely on made-to-order & custom order dolls. I have had a lot of fun developing my style and offering a Marzipantz version of favorite saints, literary characters, and even movie characters. My favorite thing about making these dolls is the design process, and planning out all the little details that will make the dolls special for you or your little one.
