I ♥ cute things!
When I was a kid I had a toy sewing machine. It almost seemed a miniature sewing machine with its bobbins, its needles, its tiny screw driver to be used when something needed to be fixed... And of course, its multiple coloured threads! I remember how I enjoyed trying to make dresses for my dolls with scraps from the dresses my grandma sewed for me.
I also remember when my grandma taught me how to knit with my toy plastic knitting needles and how much I liked it, although I always missed some stitches and I was never able to finish my little projects.
At that time these hobbies were just another game for me, which I ended up giving up and forgetting.
However, some things are never completely lost and one day we are brave enough to become children again and we start playing again with what we like the most. In my case it took me more than 20 years to start over again, but I’ve done it with the same enthusiasm I had then!
Now I enjoy creating and learning with my sewing machine, with the knitting needles my grandma knitted with and with the crochet hooks my mother used… and that is because fate is always waiting for us!
