Hi, I’m McCory (yes, that is my first name)
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a desire to capture and share the beauty of the world God created around me - whether it be the face of a stranger, the shape of a building, or the awesomeness of nature.
My work is rooted in the exploration of place—how locations hold special memories, evoke deep emotions, and shape our identities. Having traveled to all 50 states and over 30 countries, I am constantly inspired by how different landscapes, cultures, and structures shape our experiences. Every journey—whether to a distant country, a favorite beach, or just a walk around the neighborhood—offers a fresh perspective. The way we relate to places evolves over time, deepening our connection with the world around us.
One of the most beautiful ways we connect with others is through shared experiences of place. It might be the house you grew up in and the sense of home it will always carry, or the instant bond formed when you discover that a stranger loves your favorite vacation spot just as much as you do. My travels and experiences have given me countless opportunities to forge these connections, and I am forever grateful for the way they have shaped my perspective and relationships.
Whether I’m behind a camera or holding a paintbrush, I strive to capture the essence of a place—the sharp geometry of a city skyline, the warmth of a smile, the soft curves of a desert dune, or the shifting reflections on water. My work is both an observation and an invitation—to pause, to see, and to feel the spirit of a place beyond its physical boundaries.
Through light, color, and shape, I aim to create visual narratives that honor the beauty of the world God has created. Art, for me, is a way of mapping experiences—capturing both the fleeting and the timeless, the familiar and the unknown. It is a celebration of discovery, memory, and the moments that connect us to the world and to each other.
