This has been an Amazing journey!
I started my shop out selling handmade cards, and photos from my travels in Europe. I put a couple of flowers in my shop as a whim, and it took off. I started off with one or two orders a month, and I now work almost around the clock. I have been very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people, and event planners! Some of my clients have included Michael Kors, Fidelity Investments, Level 99 Jeans, FarmHouse Fresh, Glamour Magazine Woman of the Year Awards, The Oklahoma Thunder NBA, Young Living Oils, Royal Rabbit Clothing Company, Lili Piache Lingerie Japan, LS Buecher Jewelry France, SpaceNK, and Von Maur Beauty The picture of the Versace perfume is from their Spring Mailer. The charities I have worked with are: The Make a Wish Foundation, The We Defy Foundation, ChildHelp, Sun Valley Wine Auction, Chrysalis, and the National Down Syndrome Society.
I have had people ask how I came up with the name McFunk90. Years ago when we set up our email, it was mcfunk90@........ It stands for Mike and Christa Funkhouser. When signing up for Etsy I thought I was assigning myself a user name, instead, that's what I accidentally named my shop. I am able to change the name, but after all of these years, I kinda like it. Plus, it's easy for people to remember.
In October of 2010 I received an email from Traditional Home Magazine to have my flowers in their magazine. I couldn't believe how lucky I was. It was a wonderful thing to see my flowers in print in their February 2011 issue. My flowers were also in Brides Magazine Winter 2013 issue. My flowers have been in Bridal Guide Magazine 6 times from 2013-2017. They have been in numerous blogs, and the book,"Signature Sasha Weddings and Celebrations to Inspire", by Sasha Souza. My flowers were used in 52 Michael Kors Stores displays. In 2022 my sunflowers were in a Fidelity Investments commercial.
I ship worldwide! I have had flowers at trade shows in NYC after fashion week, and boutiques all over the world. It has been AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
