Finished my apple hat a few days ago but I've been so busy wearing it on our daily walks around town that I forgot to photograph it! Surprisingly warm for fall with the double layer of garter stitch yet breathes, so you don't get overheated.

About

Just can't stop creating!

When I was a little girl, I was not a finisher. By "not a finisher", I mean that I would start lots of projects but never finish them. When I was about 8 years old, my Mum told me that if I finished the rug hooking I was working on, she would buy me a ball of yarn for Christmas that year. Christmas was months away and I was sure I could do this!

I did finish that rug hooking (a dog picture that we later made into a wall hanging for the basement play room, if I remember right) and, sure enough, I got a beautiful ball of pink baby yarn for Christmas. In my mind, that yarn is the most gorgeous shade of pink you can imagine - I think I just loved it that much.

I went on to knit a dress, a pair of shorts, a top, and a hat for my Barbie doll - I was officially addicted!

A year or two later, my Mum taught me to crochet and I made a whole bag full of granny squares. Sadly, that bag of squares was stashed away (I still wasn't much of a finisher!) and then lost when I moved to my apartment as a young adult. I like to think I accidentally donated it to a charity and it was eventually made into a blanket that someone is loving.

At some point, after making countless items from wonderful patterns from my Mum's collection, I began designing my own patterns. This, for me, is pure creative bliss!

I'm sure you've noticed by now that my Mum was a huge influence on me, creatively. She always claims that she isn't creative, that she always needs a pattern. But, in my memory, she was part of the driving force of my creativity. She gave me the skills to do what I do.

I wouldn't be where I am today without three other people - my Dad, my sister, and my husband. My Dad told me I could do anything I wanted to, and I believed him. My sister is possibly my number one cheerleader and my husband makes it all possible.

And the last person that makes it all possible is you! A big thank you to my customers who have said such wonderful things about my patterns and posted amazing pictures of their finished items. I really couldn't do any of it without you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my patterns! I hope you enjoy them as much as I like making them!

My yarn brand, Moca Cotton, is a wonderful fingering weight stranded cotton. It is great for shawls and scarves but also works extremely well for dishcloths and tablecloths - just about anything you would normally make from cotton.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Payment
You can pay for your purchase using Paypal. You can also pay, through Paypal, using a credit card - you don't need a Paypal account to do this.
Shipping
All patterns are instant download - no waiting! The only exceptions to this are the pattern pack deals where you pick your own patterns - your choices will be emailed to you within 24 hours of payment.

Yarn purchases will ship within 2 days of payment clearing. I usually ship on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Shipment is made using Canada Post which takes about a week within Canada and 2-5 weeks (usually 2-3 weeks) to the United States. International shipping from Canada takes 8-10 weeks. Shipping times cannot be guaranteed and any customs charges are your responsibility.

Purchases shipped to the US and Canada include tracking. If you would like to reduce your shipping fees and not have your package tracked, please contact me. If you choose to do this, I am not responsible if your package is lost.

Yarn purchases shipped outside of the United States and Canada are not tracked - I am not responsible for lost packages. I do sincerely apologize for this but the tracked package shipping rate for one yarn cake, outside of the US and Canada, is almost CAD$50! Also, for many international destinations, I will ship each yarn cake separately as this is the most cost effective way to ship. Shipping outside of Canada and the United States can take 8-10 weeks. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with your pattern or yarn purchases, please let me know. Unfortunately, I can't accept returns on yarn because it is made in my smoke-free and pet-free home and it would be impossible to have it returned in as-new condition so that I could resell it. If, under rare circumstances, a return was necessary, return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Due to the nature of digital items, I don't offer refunds on patterns.

Please note that I photograph in natural light and and colours are as accurate as possible but monitors differ in their representation of colour.
Additional policies and FAQs
You can make as many items for charity or for personal from my patterns as you would like. You can also sell any finished items from my patterns, no exceptions, no need to contact me! Just please don't resell my actual patterns :)

Thanks & happy stitching!
