About

handmade ceramics to delight the hand and eye

Hello! My name is Meadow. I was named after a small meadow in the San Jacinto mountains, and as I work with clay, I try to capture something of the untamed beauty of a wilderness meadow. The bike impression that serves as the maker’s mark on my pieces is inspired by the many happy miles I've traveled by bike getting around Berkeley, CA, Washington, DC, and now Portland, OR.


I took my first pottery class while doing a science policy fellowship in Washington, D.C., and quickly fell in love with clay. After I finished my fellowship, two things were clear: it was time to move home to Oregon, and I wanted to keep working with clay. While looking for a "real" job, I came to realize that I'd already found my work.
