Announcement Mission4Masese features unique handmade necklaces, bracelets and colorful dangling earrings. We work with a team of artisans in Masese III, a slum community outside of Jinja, Uganda to bring you modern eco-conscious styles on a fair trade basis.

Our artisans are single mothers and widows who work to provided food, housing, clothing and an education for their children.

Women are paid a fair price for each piece of jewelry and 100% of the purchase goes back into the Masese community through various programs we direct to help fight poverty and fatherlessness.

Beautiful Ugandan Paper Bead Jewelry for a Purpose

All jewelry featured in our Etsy store have been uniquely created by women living in the Masese III, a poverty-stricken slum community outside of Jinja, Uganda.

The vast majority of the women are single mothers who have been widowed, abandoned or displaced by the wars in northern Uganda.

The jewelry is crafted from recycled papers, hand-rolled into beads, varnished for protection and strung together.

The women earn fair wages for jewelry they make, providing them with a reliable source of income to support their families.

In addition, 100% of the profits from the jewelry sales go back into the Masese III community through support given to Bethel Junior School, the local elementary school, that provides free education to many children living in the Masese III slums.

Every purchase makes a difference in the quality of life these women can enjoy with their children. Monies earned from this Fair-Trade initiative dignify the women to afford rent, buy food, and pay school fees.
