Mnmur was born in Turin, Italy with a design approach based on sustainability and craftsmanship. Our collection is made using old inner tubes and bike tyres. We aim to create durable and functional products having minimalism and simplicity in mind.
Bike tubes and tyres are fascinating and special materials for us.
These products were designed to last in harsh working conditions, their technical features are excellent compared to traditional textiles materials available in the industry. Durability, waterproofness, strength and light weight are some ideal properties to design bags and accessories for everyday use. From an aesthetic point of view they offer a large variety of textures and details that make each product unique. On top of that there's the rare beauty that only time can give to materials such shades, scratches and signs of aging.
We are completely self-taught in craftsmanship, our educational background concerns arts and graphics. This project was born as a hobby, we really just wanted to get creative and have fun. The first sales and the public’s appreciation pushed us to continue and over the years we made a lot of progress.
Mnmur company is very small, we are a team of two. We produce our own design, and all of the items in our shop are made by hand in small series or limited editions. We believe that the craft know-how adds to the value of a good and that this production model is more sustainable and ethical.
