NUESTRA HISTORIA
Mi viaje al mundo de los muebles de estilo industrial comenzó como una empresa comercial a tiempo parcial mientras trabajaba en la industria tecnológica. Con un trabajo estable, un horario flexible y una familia en crecimiento, nunca imaginé que cambiaría completamente de carrera. Pero la vida tiene una manera de llevarnos a caminos inesperados y fue una gran oportunidad trabajar con mi padre.

Muchas personas me han preguntado cómo hice la transición de la tecnología a los muebles, pero para mí fue una progresión natural. Desde muy joven, me sentí atraído por los proyectos mecánicos y creativos, pasando incontables horas trabajando en autos viejos con mi padre y aprendiendo el arte de la soldadura y la metalurgia como pasatiempo. Esta experiencia práctica y el amor por el metal finalmente me llevaron al género de muebles de estilo industrial. Me cautivó la belleza rugosa de las piezas y vi la oportunidad de poner mis propias habilidades y creatividad a trabajar.

Al principio hicimos piezas simples con la idea de que si no vendían al menos tendría algo para mí, pero se vendieron. Me sorprendió el interés y el apoyo de dueños de negocios, arquitectos, diseñadores y otros clientes. Con el aliento de mi esposa, mis padres y mi familia extendida, continué creando y experimentando con nuevos diseños. Rápidamente me di cuenta de que tenía una verdadera pasión por la fabricación de muebles y un talento para dar vida a visiones únicas.

Después de pasar unos años aprendiendo todos los aspectos del negocio, desde la fabricación y la carpintería hasta el envío y la logística, tomé la decisión de dar un salto de fe y dejar el mundo de la tecnología para dedicarme a Modern Industrial Furniture a tiempo completo. Era un riesgo, pero con el apoyo de mi familia, sabía que era el camino correcto. Ahora estoy orgulloso de decir que mis piezas artesanales se venden en todo el país e internacionalmente, y no podría estar más feliz con el camino que la vida me ha llevado.

LEGADO
De una generación a otra, aprendí mucho de mi padre. Con sus 40+ años de experiencia en el trabajo del metal, solo tenía sentido que trabajáramos juntos como un equipo de padre e hijo. Lamentablemente, mi padre falleció en 2022, quien fue una fuente de apoyo y aliento durante todo mi viaje. Lo extraño mucho, pero estoy orgulloso de lo que pudimos construir juntos y de los tiempos que pasamos construyendo esta empresa. Su presencia se extraña mucho y su sabiduría vive en mí y en nuestro equipo.

Transmitir el conocimiento de una generación a la siguiente es siempre una tradición apreciada. Me siento orgulloso de ver a mis hijos abrazar también el arte de la metalurgia y la creatividad con sus dinosaurios de metal. No solo es una gran oportunidad para mí para enseñar el oficio, sino también el espíritu empresarial, la ética de trabajo y la fotografía mientras construyen y comercializan sus dinosaurios favoritos.

OUR STORY
My journey into the world of industrial style furniture started as a part-time business venture while I was working in the tech industry. With a stable job, flexible schedule, and growing family, I never imagined I’d completely change careers. But life has a way of leading us to unexpected paths and it was a great opportunity to work with my father.

Many people have asked me how I made the transition from tech to furniture, but for me it was a natural progression. From a young age, I was drawn to mechanical and creative projects, spending countless hours working on old cars with my father and learning the art of welding and metalworking as a hobby. This hands-on experience and love of metal eventually led me to the genre of industrial-style furniture. I was captivated by the rugged beauty of the pieces and saw an opportunity to put my own skills and creativity to work.

In the beginning we made simple pieces with the idea that if they didn’t sell I’d at least have something for myself, but they did sell. I was amazed by the interest and support from business owners, architects, designers, and other clients. With the encouragement of my wife, my parents and extended family, I continued to create and experiment with new designs. I quickly realized that I had a true passion for furniture-making and a talent for bringing unique visions to life.

After spending a few years learning every aspect of the business, from fabrication and woodworking to shipping and logistics, I made the decision to take a leap of faith and leave the tech world to pursue Modern Industrial Furniture full-time. It was a risk, but with the support of my family, I knew it was the right path. I am now proud to say that my handcrafted pieces are sold across the nation and internationally, and I couldn't be happier with the path that life has led me on.

LEGACY
From one generation to another, I learned a great deal from my father. With his 40+ years of metal working experience it only made sense that we should work together as a father and son team. Sadly, my father passed away in 2022, who was a source of support and encouragement throughout my journey. I miss him greatly, but I'm proud of what we were able to build together and the times we spent building this company. His presence is dearly missed and his wisdom lives on in me and our team.

Passing down knowledge from one generation to the next is always a cherished tradition. I feel proud to see my sons also embracing the art of metalworking and creativity with their metal dinosaurs. It’s not only a great opportunity for me to teach the craft, but also entrepreneurship, work-ethic and photography as they build and market their favorite dinosaurs.
