About morguedesign
My artistic journey began in 2017 when I first started sharing my art on Instagram. At that time, I was preparing to graduate high school and was so excited to spend the summer before college painting and figuring out who I was as a maker. That fall, I went to the University of Minnesota and eventually graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Art. In my four years of school, I focused on a lot of digital projects where I designed things like books, fonts, apps with proper UX (user experience) and UI (user interface), logos and brands, and packaging. I found every opportunity to incorporate my unique illustration style into each of these projects. My art major also allowed me to experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, screen printing, photography, and filmmaking.
While school was great for exploring ideas and expanding my skill set, being done with school for the past year has allowed me to prioritize making and sharing my art. I’ve been streaming on Twitch for the past 7 months and have recently started sharing videos about my process on YouTube as well. In 2022 I decided the next step in my artistic journey was establishing a small shop to sell my artwork – including photo prints, screen prints, stickers, and originals. Not only am I so proud of all the art I have made (and have been able to share with others online!), but I am so excited that the people who have supported me on this journey will be able to finally see and own a piece of my art in real life <3
