Frequently asked questions

Sizing details

Ring sizing is tricky. Please confirm your sizing with your local Jeweler. You should try on pieces in a similar size and thickness to your desired design. Ring size can not usually be estimated or guessed accurately. Ring sizes vary by a fraction of a millimeter. Specific tools are needed to determine your size.

Most pieces can be made in any ring size, and most can be re-sized after receipt (sizing fees apply). Please contact me if a re-size is needed. Occasionally some designs cannot be re-sized.

I'm confused! I see may ring images on one listing...

You are looking at the "customized" diamond ring.
I know it can seem a little confusing at first. This listing is designed for you to customize your own rustic diamond ring.

The “Customized” ring means you get to choose:
1. The exact diamond for your ring (each labeled by letter)
2. The gold color (Yellow, White, or Rose)
3. Ring size
4. Any other customization you might think of (finish, accent diamonds, etc…)

Once you place your order, the ring is made for you based on all your selections.

“Customized” listings showcase several example images of finished rings that were made for previous customers.

Please read individual listings for more detail, or convo me if you have any other questions!

Can you rush my order?

Yes! Normal production time varies from 1-4 weeks depending on my current queue of orders. All production estimates are listed under "shipping" for each item.

I am happy to accommodate a rushed order for a special deadline. I can sometimes rush an item as quickly as overnight or up to 1 week. The rush fee may vary depending on the exact item, how quickly the item is needed, the shipping destination, the length of my queue, and holidays will all affect my quote to rush. Please contact me directly if you need to rush your order.

What is a "rustic" diamond?

A rustic diamond, is a natural diamond that is heavily included. The look is a kind of smoky, very sparkly stone, touched with streaks of contrasting color. They come in all types of colors and qualities, from deep dense brown, to mostly clear with swirls or speckles of color. They are incredibly sparkly because of the natural hardness. They are wonderfully earthy, and exquisitely glamorous all at once. Each diamond is completely one of a kind. Rustic diamonds are usually available in a rose cut. A rose cut diamond has a flat back, and faceted on the front. The facets are made up of tiny triangular cuts which are designed to imitate the petals of a rose.

Do you accept returns?

Any "ready to ship" item can be returned. Please notify me 3 days after receipt, that you would like to return the item. Please contact me before returning anything for instructions. Once you have been given authorization for a return, all packages must be postmarked within 7 days. Shipping costs are not refundable.

Customized and "made to order" items are not returnable. please look over all photos, details, measurements, and please contact me if you have any questions at all prior to purchasing.

Your satisfaction is the most important thing to me, please contact me if you have any issues at all with your order.

Warranty

All mossNstone jewelry is made with care, inspected, and free from known defects. I offer a free 3 year limited warranty against any manufacturing defects. My warranty excludes coverage for inflicted damage, misuse, accidents, and theft. These repairs will be subject to repair fees.

Repairs done by a 3rd party without approval will void my warranty.

I do recommend that your fine jewellery be covered by a comprehensive, homeowners, renters, or personal property insurance policy. This will fully cover mysterious loss, or unintended accidents and theft. (This can be as low as $50/yr, depending. You can call your provider for a quote).

International buyers

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchase/ delivery.

Are your diamonds certified?

The rustic diamonds do not go through a certification process like “flawless” commercial diamonds. Diamond certification was developed so specialists could determine and notate “flaws” and color hues that aren’t visible to the naked eye, or lack there of. The highest value being the most clear and white. This certification is also used to verify the difference between diamonds that look similar, but one is valued at 10,000- and the other is valued at $100,000, and so the papers are required to verify these determinations.

The rustic diamonds are full of visible inclusions and color hues, which is what makes them so incredibly unique and beautiful! But there is no grading, or certification system in place to evaluate included diamonds.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All genuine diamond rings come in either a black leatherette or walnut wood ring box. All other jewelry is beautifully packaged in a jewelry gift box ready for gifting! Every order includes a mossNstone care card, for additional care information, as well as marked material (Solid 14k gold color, Sterling, or Gold filled). If your order contains diamonds, I include an info card with each diamond purchase, which specifies the measured carat weight, millimeter dimensions, aproxímate color, and tested hardness.

I do not include an invoice in the shipping package unless requested. Invoices are also available by email, or on your etsy profile receipt.

About ROSE GOLD pieces

I can make nearly any piece in 14k Rose Gold for you. Please note, if you choose rose gold, any of the solder joints will be joined using 14k yellow gold solder. Solder is the gold used to join the metals. This is because 14k 'rose' gold solder, is actually incredibly toxic, and contains known carcinogens. I opt to use, and provide, completely nontoxic products, for my own exposure, but equally important, for my customers. The plain 14k rose gold material on the rest of the ring is fine. The joints are where the band connects to the back of the setting, or other connection spots, depending on the piece. This is usually never noticed, but is the case for all rose gold pieces.
