Welcome to Zelaya Art! My name is Meridith Zelaya and here is where I showcase my unique and special hand-knit and hand-crocheted baby/toddler blankets and throw blankets.

After about 20 years of exclusively knitting, I recently learned how to crochet and took to it immediately. I now crochet exclusively, but hope to revisit knitting in the future. Hopefully it is like riding a bike :)

All of the blankets in this shop are hand knit or crocheted by me and are absolutely perfect for baby or wedding gifts. I am a perfectionist who enjoys taking my time to create beautiful and personalized blankets for people to enjoy for a long time to come. I carefully wrap each item as if it will be given as a gift, washing instructions included.

All items in this shop come from a very clean smoke-free home.

What a beautiful throw!! I couldn't be happier. It is made so well and so pretty. So soft. Meridith is great to work with, so kind and quick to respond to any questions. Also shipped out the next day. I highly recommend this shop and Meridith. :)

I started my Etsy shop several years ago and sold many hats and other smaller items that I had knit. Now that I am more advanced and have been knitting beautiful baby blankets and throws, I have decided to make those available now.

I really have a passion for knitting and enjoy it immensely, taking my time and putting great care and love into all of my creations. All of my baby blankets are also appropriate for toddlers and small children, and the throws are perfect for snuggling up with on the couch or in bed. I use a double-stranded knitting technique that produces lush and luxurious blankets, and I love to use not-so-ordinary colors since normal pink and blue baby blankets are so widely available, yet not all nurseries are pink or blue! If you do not see a blanket you like in my selection, give a made-to-order blanket a shot. Just let me know what color you want, give me a few weeks, and I really do not think you will be disappointed in what I provide.
