What's Nemki All About?
Hi! My name is Naomi and I make the stuff you see at Nemki :)
As far back as I can remember I have loved animals and art. When I was little I used to spend hours drawing whatever I could see, onto whatever was available (including, when I was about four, onto our new leather sofa and brand new car. Those tales do the rounds every Christmas).
Now I'm a grown-up and able to draw things as a job, which almost makes up for not getting to be a rainforest explorer...
I'm particularly influenced by romanticism, abstract art and folk art. The natural world is lovely and it makes me smile, so it is the star of my designs at Nemki!
My patterns are usually inspired by animals I have known, either a pet I had or an animal I met somewhere. I like to try and get the personality across as animals have such wonderful souls.
