Ochmir's Forge
Several years ago, my life got "interesting." Six jobs in 18 months and in two different states sort of changes your perspective. I was a geographic bachelor for 8 months, and that's when I decided that I needed to do something with my hands.
I started working with wire, stones, and leather to keep busy. I realized that I was making things that others found interesting and useful. I realized that I was a Maker.
At first, I was Making things for my family and friends. Then, someone asked me how much I wanted for a keychain that was sitting on my desk at work. When I hesitated, she offered me a price that I couldn't refuse. It grew from there.
I made myself an "anvil" for hammering the copper, invested in some leather and tools to work it, and started Making whenever I had a chance. Most pieces are unique, one-of-a-kinds, although I will make something similar if asked.
Browse the Forge for something that catches your eye. If you don't see it, ask me if I can Make it special, for you.
