A Desire To Share My Collection

It started with a desire to share my collection of antique samplers with fellow stitchers.

After I learned how to chart the designs using software I was on a roll. Instead of publishing one chart at a time as I finished the charting...I found I could not stop charting and so I continued to do so for every sampler in my collection.

And then there were distractions. I added charted antique chinaware designed to look like needlework charts to my portfolio. I researched the history of the chinaware patterns and received permission to publish these charts where possible.

Second to charting, I love researching the girls who stitched these samplers. Through the genealogical work I was able to reach out to living relatives of the girls.

What you see in my shop is my best effort to honor the stitchers of the antique samplers and highlight chinaware (and more!) from the past for needleworkers to enjoy.
