I Love Old Stuff And I Cannot Lie!
It started with salt and pepper shakers when I was a little kid. Since then I was always the weirdo that looked to the past. Clothing, music, cookware, anything and everything. My favorite way to spend a Saturday is sifting through a flea market or auction.....appreciating the utility of old objects (which most times work better than new objects!) and imagining what hands that thing has passed though.
I don't stick to one particular era. I like lots of things from lots of different times. Art deco, 1940s kitchenware, the sleekness of mid century, rustic farmhouse, industrial. And even though I grew up during the 1970s, I'm starting to look back to that time with appreciation. Macrame plant hangers are pretty awesome and never should have gone away!
I love running Old Stuff Love because I really enjoy matching people with something they desire. Nothing is better than getting a conversation from someone about an item that they have searched high and low for and I have it. Especially when that item has strong sentimental value!
