omaneo is based in Neuss on the Rhine. Everything here revolves around coffee preparation: espresso machines and grinders, barista knowledge, and the question of why the same coffee tastes completely different on two different days.
The artwork in this shop originated from this work. For years, we've been drawing designs for our videos and information panels—the portafilter, the scoop full of beans, the golden formula of 18 grams of ground coffee and 36 grams of espresso. Eventually, we wanted to see them on the wall, not just on a screen.
We're transparent about how they're created: The designs are generated using AI image generators and then selected, edited, typeset, and captioned by us. Printing only begins once you order—using archival pigment ink on heavy fine art paper, in a manufactory in Venlo, the Netherlands, about seventy kilometers from here. From there, the print goes directly to you.
Each design is released in a limited edition: 100 copies per format, each individually numbered. The artist's initials and the year are printed in the bottom right corner, and your copy number is opposite them on the left. Once the edition is full, it's full.

omaneo ist in Neuss am Rhein zu Hause. Alles dreht sich hier um die Zubereitung von Kaffee: um Espressomaschinen und Mühlen, um Barista-Wissen und um die Frage, warum derselbe Kaffee an zwei Tagen völlig verschieden schmeckt.
Die Blätter in diesem Shop sind aus dieser Arbeit entstanden. Für unsere Videos und Wissenstafeln zeichnen wir seit Jahren Motive — den Siebträger, die Schaufel voller Bohnen, die goldene Formel aus 18 Gramm Kaffeemehl und 36 Gramm Espresso. Irgendwann wollten wir sie an der Wand sehen und nicht nur auf dem Bildschirm.
Wie sie entstehen, sagen wir offen: Die Motive werden mit KI-Bildgeneratoren erzeugt und von uns ausgewählt, überarbeitet, gesetzt und beschriftet. Gedruckt wird erst, wenn du bestellst — archivfeste Pigmenttinte auf schwerem Fine-Art-Papier, in einer Manufaktur im niederländischen Venlo, gut siebzig Kilometer von hier. Von dort geht das Blatt direkt zu dir.
Jedes Motiv erscheint in limitierter Auflage: 100 Exemplare je Format, jedes einzeln nummeriert. Unten rechts steht das gezeichnete Künstlerkürzel mit dem Jahr, gegenüber links die Nummer deines Exemplars. Ist die Auflage voll, ist sie voll.
