Handmade is my passion!
Expressing myself creatively has always been a core part of my personality. Even in college, I had a sewing machine, which I used regularly to make gifts for my friends and craft Halloween costumes. Several years later, the registered daycare I ran from my home allowed me to make fun, original crafts while working with children. Once my children all entered school and we moved to a new town, I decided to take a break from child care, and focus on my family and my creative energies.
Oreo and Bean is a two-fold business. One half is my passion for sports, specifically for me the Buffalo Bills. Born and raised in WNY, part of me will always be there at heart. When the “bag ban” wave began, I sought a creative solution to the strict purse requirements stadiums and arenas were imposing. I offer right-sized custom wristlets featuring a growing number of teams, as well as larger purses and gift items for all your sporting get-togethers.
The second is my playful, whimsical side: Sweet animal purses, bags and sleep masks with simple, expressive representations of woodland and farm animals. My newest addition is custom representation of pets, just like my Guinea Pigs, Oreo and Bean!
We are a military family, which requires us to move every few years. Oreo and Bean allows me to use my passion for creative expression while running my own business from home. I am always looking to expand, testing new styles and ideas.
