Hi, my name is Laura, and I am the designer, maker, photographer and shipper behind Pacific Spirit Designs!

After working for many years in communications for non-profit organizations, I had a desire to step away from the computer and make something creative and tangible with my hands. I experimented with different art forms but nothing clicked until one day I was looking through my jewelry box, and I realized how much the various pieces of handmade jewelry I own mean to me. There is the dove necklace and ring that my boyfriend bought for me in San Francisco. There’s the colorful polymer clay sun necklace I bought at The Rocks Market in Sydney, Australia, and the flower resin earrings I bought at the Salt Spring Island Saturday Market (I could go on!). I have always loved buying and gifting handmade jewelry, knowing that each piece represents the vision, creativity and passion of a real person. Handmade jewelry is a little piece of art that you can carry with you everyday, everywhere you go.

I love to design simple, modern jewelry with beautiful color, sparkle, and shine. I use high quality materials including sterling silver, fine silver, and Swarovski Crystals, and I package all of my jewelry as if I am gifting it to a friend.
