Paperly was born about 6 months after I became a NYC-transplant smack dab in the center of IL.

When I was little, I would plop down on the kitchen floor with magazines, blank paper, and adhesive of some sort, and make endless amounts of collages. I was always doing something artsy, and always knew that I wanted that to be a part of my life. In grad school, one design professor told me that I needed to stop being an artist and start being a designer (interesting, right?).

Fast forward a few years later, and having found an incredible job, I was living on my own in NYC. It was great, but I never found myself with enough time to do anything particularly artsy. Commuting 2 hours a day was taking its toll, and with some chronic health problems to contend with, I found that by the time the evenings or weekends came around, all I wanted/needed to do was sleep, binge watch Orange is the New Black, and occasionally eat pizza.

I still do a lot of those last 3 things, but I now work remotely in IL, for my job in NYC, which has been the biggest blessing that I'm so incredibly grateful for. It has given me the time to expand my artsy-ness beyond sleeping, Netflix, and pizza.

All of that being said - Paperly's goal is two-fold. First and foremost, I look to provide customers with extremely customizable, high-quality, paper party goods. I want to help add meticulous details to your party, without adding stress to your planning. I'm a true believer in the fact that everything really is in the details, and I love helping you add those to any celebration - no matter how big or small.

Second, by starting Paperly, I get to exercise my artsy bones, and hand-make each and every product. There's something fabulously satisfying about starting out with an idea and a sheet of paper, drawing something up in Illustrator, making a tangible object, and then being able to see it as a part of someone's special day; and hopefully helping things sparkle a bit brighter.

Frequently asked questions
How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

First class shipping generally takes 3-5 business days to be delivered, while priority shipping generally takes 2-3 business days. Priority express shipping is the only shipping method that's guaranteed by the USPS, and is generally guaranteed to be delivered by 3p local time on the next business day.

If you'd like to message us your zip code, we are more than happy to provide you with a delivery estimate from the USPS if you need your items by a certain time.

Please note that Paperly unfortunately CANNOT accept RESPONSIBILITY for unexpected USPS delays, wrongly entered addresses (we are currently only able to ship to the address that comes through on an order), weather-related problems, obvious shipping damage, or general USPS issues.

How long will it take for my order to ship?

Please check our shop announcement for any general shipping announcements and current turnaround time.

Most orders will generally ship within 1-3 business days of successful payment processing, except those are marked "Ships in 24 Hours". Those orders will ship within 24 hours of successful payment processing, Mon. through Fri. between 9a and 5p CT.

All orders come with USPS tracking numbers (unfortunately we do not ship via any other method than the USPS), and you should expect to receive your tracking number upon shipment.

If your order is on the larger side or if we are out of the office for a few days, you will be contacted upon receipt of your order with a more-accurate shipping estimate.

Do you ship internationally?

Definitely! We love shipping our products to all corners of the world, but if you are unsure as to whether or not you will be charged a customs fee upon receipt of your item(s), PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS FIRST.

Paperly is NOT responsible for any unexpected customs fees, post office woes that result from an item being held/not delivered, or incorrectly entered international addresses (please TRIPLE CHECK your address, as the USPS does not validate international addresses - this is up to the buyer).

If an item is ordered, shipped, and attempted to be delivered, no refund will be provided if buyer refuses to pay customs fee or an incorrect address was entered.

Please leave AT LEAST 3 weeks for international packages to be delivered.

How thick is the paper you use?

We use premium quality 65lb glitter card stock for our glittery papers, and high quality 50lb card stock for our solid papers. Please note that our glittery card stock has a white backing, while solid card stock is double-sided.

How thick IS that, exactly? 50lb card stock is a bit thicker than a business card & 65lb card stock is similar to heavy cardstock.

As far as colors go, we try to match the color swatches attached to our listings exactly but there is the potential for minor discrepancies due to lighting, monitor calibration, etc.

If you have concerns about how sturdy something will be or how exact a color is, let us know! We can easily double-side most of our products or send over photos of exact color combinations.

Do you accept custom order requests?

Absolutely, 110% yes! Custom orders are some of our favorites, so please don't hesitate to shoot us a message if you don't see exactly what you're looking for, or have questions about something that you see in our shop.

How do you package your toppers?

All toppers get sent out to you in a reinforced bubble-mailer, which is meant to give our picks a bit of extra padding during transit.

Cake toppers also come sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, to try to minimize shipping damage or rough handling.

All toppers are packaged in clear cello bags to restrict movement during shipping.
