Pink Cloud celebrates 35 yrs!
Pink Cloud started as a small craft business making one of a kind furniture and jewelry, in 1990.
At a WBAI radio fundraiser holiday craft show in NYC customers wanted to see Tara's hand painted earrings and barrettes as larger scenes. Peter's furniture was a bit large for urban apartments, so the blending of the two products began. Tara's paintings became a panel on Peter's cabinet clocks. Still too large for many people, the panel became the single design element of the clock. Tara's artwork was a hit and year after year the two partnered in creating a line of clocks that were offered in stores and at craft shows throughout the country. At one point one of their children suggested they make a Cat shaped clock out of a cat face designed square clock. She also suggested and sketched little outfits for the cat shaped clock- a ballerina and a pirate!
Though she was only 4 years old, she was most certainly onto something. This was before cats and dogs products were flooding the market, like it is today.
Tara paints all the original artwork and all the clocks are made in Connecticut in a small shop, the same one from the beginning.
The artwork is made into high quality prints that are the surface of a thin wood base. All the clocks are made to order and guaranteed.
"I am very grateful for all the customers who choose to support the crafts and who purchase a Pink Cloud clock. You are supporting an American Company and collecting a piece of art to last a lifetime. Enjoy!" -Tara
