I turn heads.
Piper Ewan the business began in 1998 when I was laid off from a bank job that came with a shiny severance package. I saw the opportunity to start my own business and so I ran with it! I joined Etsy in 2006.
My business has gone through many transformations as I have evolved as a designer. From custom wedding gowns, to garters and ribbon flowers, odd design projects like the Doug Fir Lounge stage's woodgrain backdrop or Nike press kits, costuming many modern dance performances, to my handmade lingerie and corsetry lines I'm developing now; I have learned a lot over these years. I try to push past my own limitations to make carefully designed pieces that fit, move and turn heads towards the people who wear them.
I love hand stitching and finishing. All of my pieces have echoes of the past in them, but cannot be placed in time. I love living in the present where I can borrow from the past at will.
