I love plants and art, so I combined my two passions and created Planet Hanger.😊🪴

HI! I'm Kathy, and I create every piece from my home just outside Philadelphia, where I live with my husband, Tim, and our two wonderful children, Tyler and Stella.

Our home is overflowing with plants-from floor to the ceiling-and they've inspired me for as long as I can remember. My love of plants began as a little girl, watching my mom and grandmother lovingly care for their houseplants.

More than 10 years ago, a friend taught me how to macrame and I was instantly hooked. Today I handcraft colorful plant hangers using eco-friendly hemp cord along with carefully chosen wooden, ceramic, and glass beads.

One of my favorite parts of creating is mixing colors, textures, and patterns until each hanger finds its perfect match. Whether it's a vintage teacup, a colorful planter, or tiny succulent, I love making something that turns an ordinary plant into a little piece of art.
