Welcome to Plays With Mud. I'm so glad you found our shop! We use stamps to create custom vases, platters and various pieces that are designed to be used and loved on a daily basis. Most of our pieces can be personalized with names and dates for anniversaries, engagements, weddings, and special dates. We can also work with you to design the perfect piece for a specific occasion.

All of our pottery is handcrafted in my basement studio. I typically use stoneware clay, and fire to cone 5. Each piece is glazed using lead-free, food-safe materials.

I have been blessed with an incredibly supportive husband and two amazing children who inspire me daily. I've always had a love of crafts ... there is something about creating a product from scratch and holding it withing your hands that is fascinating to me. I have been a potter since 1997, and I try to infuse a bit of myself into every piece that I make, and merge my love of mediums into new art forms. My vases and platters were created from using my traditional scrapbooking stamps on my clay one day, and discovering a whole new world of personalization. My paper products and random media projects are available at

While Plays With Mud and EllaMuffin are my passions, I do have a "day job" that also keeps me quite busy.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I make every effort to accurately represent my work online. However, if you receive a product that is completely not what you expected and you are dissatisfied, PLEASE contact me so we can remedy the situation.

Because our custom items are created specifically for you (i.e., I can't resell them to anyone else), custom work is non-returnable.

I take a lot of pride in my work and packaging, and strive to make sure the piece(s) arrive in perfect shape. Accidents do happen, however, so please contact me if a piece arrives damaged and we'll arrange for a replacement.
PayPal is the preferred method of payment. Please arrange for payment within 3 days of purchasing your product.
I ship via United States Priority Mail. Transit time is usually 2-3 business days. Keep in mind that production time typically takes 3 weeks on custom orders, so plan ahead!

I try and use recycled materials whenever possible when packaging my pots. Please reuse these materials as well!!
