Bridal Gifts and Checkbook Covers

I turned a love of fabric and sewing into a successful business

I was looking for a way to work from home and use the skills I developed after many decades of sewing for my family and myself.
After selling a few cosmetic bags, I had several clients ask for multiple items with an embroidered name on each for their bridesmaids. A light went off and after a lot of research, I started adding different items.
I must give credit to my clients for the different items that I carry. Many of my best sellers evolved from a custom order.
Before I opened Plethora online, I setup at a few craft fairs. It was not very successful and I ended up with a lot of unsold merchandise. I think the best part of how I run my business is not having extra inventory.
When a client wants to place an order with my shop, they are able to select the fabric color (mostly silk dupioni), the Font and embroidery color of either the name or initials. From that point, the listing is created.
