Some residue did leak out of the gift box (see picture) but it didn't drip so I didn't mind but if you're giving this as a gift you may want to skip the listing with a box or re-box them. After about an hour the melted wax is so clear and lovely! I'll definitely get over 3 hours of burn time! One thing that may be a little misleading about the product listing is that there are actually 3 layers of candles in a single decorative box. This was my error, thinking I was getting 3 small boxes that held 6 candles each due to one of the pictures showing 3 boxes but I shouldn't have assumed. If you were hoping to get 3 gift boxes, that would be disappointing. Overall, I would definitely buy these candles again but will be skipping the gift box next time.
