Adorable and well made. It arrived quickly, and I love that it has a tag on the back I can hang the item from. Great size too.

About

Handmade wooly toys and mobiles

I believe in handmade goods. I believe in one of a kind objects, something that's yours and yours alone. And I believe in wool, especially in recycled wool!

These beliefs are at the heart of what I do with my toys and mobiles. Soft and cuddly goods for little and big ones alike! Each piece is unique and handcrafted with love.

I graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and found myself living in Montreal and sewing on my mother's old Kenmore (it's still going!). Since 2002, I have been designing and making things -- first starting with accessories: purses, patch pins and change purses. And then my niece was born and I made her my first toy, loved it and I've moved in that direction ever since.

The wool I use come clothing from secondhand stores. There is such an abundance of material already out there in the world! I carefully pick each garment for quality and colour (merino is my favourite), then wash it in hot water to make sure it's clean and prevent further shrinkage before I cut into it and sew it. Each step is done by me in my studio in Montreal.
