Hello! We are Quick Finley LLC, a locally minded business creating lovely things for babies and children. We have been shipping our products across the country and internationally since 2011 through our online Etsy store and locally through businesses and shows.
In everything we do we strive to be:
Local: All of our hats are made right here in the Treasure Valley (Boise, Idaho and surrounding areas) Stephanie, a mother of 3 little ones herself. I design, produce, and manufacture in my pet free and smoke free home. Most of our materials are also purchased locally.
Green: We use re-purposed and recycled materials for all of our hats and most of our other products. We search local thrift stores for lightly used cashmere and wool sweaters for our base materials. So when you purchase one of our hats you will not only be supporting us-- some local craftswomen, but you'll ALSO be supporting one of our local charities (via thrift store) and keeping land fill waste down! We also save and recycle all of our unusable scrap materials through the Gemtext Textile Recycling program (http://gemtextrecycling.com/) Just because we can't use it doesn't mean it can't be further re-purposed!
Natural: As we mentioned above, we use re-purposed cashmere, wool, angora, and mohair sweaters as our material base. We clean and “felt” these sweaters by repeated washing and drying at very high temperatures. In order for this process to work and felt properly all materials need to be above an 80% natural fibers threshold—we prefer ours to be 100% cashmere, wool, etc. Most of our hats are 100% natural fibers!
