¡Hola! Me llamo Mélanie y soy la mente, el alma, el corazón y los dedos detrás de cada pequeño nudo que se ha atado a la colección de joyas de raïz.
Mi pasión imprevista por el micro-knotting nació en 2007 y hasta el día de hoy sigue siendo un feliz y próspero misterio, que con ternura he convertido en una ocupación de tiempo completo muy en sintonía con mi visión de la vida y mis valores.
Siguiendo el sinuoso camino del artesano autodidacta, exploré a través de los años: temporadas de trabajo en un quiosco al aire libre en el bullicioso centro de Montreal, hasta participar en un enjambre de mercados y festivales, hasta vender en línea y cumplir con pedidos al por mayor para boutiques.
A lo largo del camino… raïz… y yo nos hemos transformado y crecido hacia un estilo refinado de joyería de micro macramé que se centra en detalles sutiles de fibras, texturas y colores contrastantes.
Millones de pequeños nudos después, cada pieza de joyería todavía se imagina y se hace a mano, un pequeño nudo a la vez, con el máximo cuidado y atención al detalle, en mi acogedor estudio hogareño ubicado en Montreal, Canadá.
Celebrando de manera moderna la antigua habilidad del macramé, a través de .. raïz .. deseo ofrecer una colección de joyas cautivadora que esté impregnada de un toque poético y alma; piezas de joyería que despierten la curiosidad, abran conversaciones y complementen la belleza y el espíritu travieso de todas las mujeres.

Hi! My name is Mélanie and I am the head, soul, heart and fingers behind each tiny knot that was ever tied into .. raïz .. jewelry collection.
My unforeseen passion for micro-knotting was born in 2007 and to this day, it remains a thriving happy mystery, one that I have tenderly turned into a full time occupation well attuned to my vision of life and values.
Following the winding path of the self-taught artisan, I explored through the years : seasons of hustling at an open-air kiosk in bustling downtown Montreal, to participating in a swarm of markets and festivals, to selling online, to fulfilling wholesale orders for boutiques.
Along the way .. raïz .. and I have morphed and grown towards a refined style of micro macramé jewelry that focuses on subtle fiber details, contrasting textures and colors.
Zillions of tiny knots later, each piece of jewelry is still envisioned and hand done .one tiny knot at a time. with the utmost care and attention to detail, in my cozy home studio located in Montreal, Canada.
By celebrating in a modern fashion the ancient skill of macramé, through .. raïz .. I wish to offer a captivating jewelry collection that is infused with a poetic twist and soul; pieces of jewelry that pique curiosity, open conversations and complement the beauty and mischievous spirit of all women.
