Hello and WELCOME! I hope you enjoy my VINTAGE TREASURES, Art SUPPLIES & Shabby pretty things I have been collecting over the years & would like to share with the world!
I grew up in a family of creativity, making things we needed mostly from discarded items, we repurposed items and upcycled out of necessity, painting, woodworking, doll making. My grandparents came to this country as young children and were very resourceful and artistic! years ago before all of the flea market shows, shabby décor and magazine articles promoting recycling, my grandfather used to pick the neighbors trash, usually wood furnishings. He would then repurpose these items and create beautiful doll houses, lamps, tables, chairs, vanities etc...
I was inspired as a young child to do the same, to find the beauty in old things, reuse and repurpose, save the landfills, and challenge myself to create unique pieces. Older things are made better, last longer and have much more character. I do sell vintage items, antiques and mixed media art supplies. I've been painting professionally for the past 39 years. I am inspired by nature and wildlife, but paint whatever subject matter moves me.
I keep busy as a muralist, painting all over Pittsburgh, and creating custom art, house portraits, pet portraits and more.
