Always up to something...
My love of creating handmade flowers began when I was preparing for my wedding in 2010. I’m not sure what made me look up an online tutorial about tissue paper flowers, but once I watched that video, it was love at first fold!
Our wedding provided the encouragement for my husband Steve and I to start our company, Knot Just Any Day Wedding Photography & Design. Friends and family liked my flowers enough to hire me to create arrangements for their events and I continued to experiment with different papers and techniques. In 2013, I launched my Etsy store and in 2015 Steve and I opened the doors to a bricks and mortar studio for Knot Just Any Day. This huge step gave me the space (literally - I have a lot of supplies) to expand my business.
Paper flowers are a perfect representation of my aesthetic - simple mixed with sparkles and a vintage nod. I'm honored that my creations will serve as keepsakes long after an event comes to a close. Whether it’s a boutonniere featuring the words from a favorite novel, pictures from a childhood storybook or simply something beautiful to enjoy in a home, each of my regular frills is handmade with love.
