New items in the shop and more to come. Weird neon paintings brought to you, from the wild west. Seriously weird, seriously wild.

Here's a spread of my artwork for an art show this weekend--"Tucson Pricks"--that I will be featured in. As the featured artist I was able to design the flier and t-shirt which looks a lot like my large centerpiece. Hope they find good homes! cactuscactuscactus

Bicycles are forever. I'm really excited that folks are embracing this radical weapon of mass-empowerment, adventure, happiness and sustainability because bikes can save the world. Bike prints, art & bike jewelry in my shop because bicycles are forever.

Desert Rat. Neon Heart. Bicycle Machine.

REVOLTA ART is owned and operated by me, Monique Laraway, out of my small studio in Tucson, Arizona.

Having worked with a variety of mediums, you'll find my shop to be filled with little cactus artworks on wood, prints and jewelry made from bike parts. I've always had to keep my hands busy and there's nothing like learning a new trade to alleviate that, something like "idle hands are the devil's playground."

I attended school for studio arts in Flagstaff and Tucson, only to find that I was most inspired to create at home, surrounded by rad womyn, punk culture or simple creating on my own time/terms, but I've learned and grown so much from my professors, peers and community.

My passion for art-making began at the mere age of 14 when I was a wee lad inspired to draw by my older brother and I haven't stopped since, aside from the occasional artist block. My current inspirations are the desert landscape and bicycle sexiness.

Thank you for visiting!

My two biggest passions outside of creating art are riding bikes and adventuring whether it be bike touring, camping or hiking. Also, I'm a bicycle mechanic and teacher for my work life and I get to ride awesome bikes, which isn't too shabby.
