With direct-to-garment (DTG) printed apparel, a vinegar-like smell or off-white residue is not unusual. It's from a fixation agent applied during the printing process. It is not permanent. A fixation agent is used for all DTG prints across the industry as it helps the ink bond with the fabric. Without it, the ink would flake off the garment. Simply wash the garment. Neither the smell nor residue are permanent and will go away after one wash.
