Making a small difference in the lives of little boys
When my son and daughter were babies, I loved shopping for and dressing them. Of course finding clothes for my little girl was easy, but finding cute clothes for my little boy was difficult.
My children are now in their teens, but I've noticed that not much has changed in the clothing market for little boys. It seems that clothing stores and designers just don't know what to do with little boys except to dress them like little men. Well, I have lots of ideas about how to dress little boys.
My son was never into super heroes, rock music, or sports as a toddler. He did, however, have a fascination with all things that travel, especially buses and trains, and I think there are lots of little boys who have similar likes. Little boys deserve clothes that reflect their needs and personalities.
I've been sewing for over 25 years and decided in 2009 to start designing and sewing exclusively for little boys.
I want my clothes to:
be soft and comfortable
have designs that show the interests of little boys
give active boys unrestricted movement
be easy care wash and dry
make dressing as fast and easy as possible
be made of such quality that they serve more than 1 child
My clothing is meant to be everyday wear that is also nice enough for special occasions. All of my designs are handmade and applied. I do not use a commercial embroidery machine which is used for many children's appliqued designs and monograms. I think handmade gives a more unique and personal appeal.
