Say yes to new adventures.
It all started with the search for the perfect Christmas gifts. For me, gift-giving has always been like solving a puzzle—I love piecing together each person’s habits and personality to find something that truly fits them. One year, I decided to make signs so each gift could reflect a part of the recipient’s identity. Not only did my friends and family love them, but I also discovered just how much I enjoyed the entire process. From the creativity of designing to the attention to detail in crafting something with "professional quality", I was hooked.
Fast forward a few months—my husband and I had just graduated from the University of Florida and relocated to North Carolina for his job. I, on the other hand, struggled to find work in our new area. A friend strongly suggested that I try selling my handmade signs, and since I had no other serious job prospects at the time, I figured, “Why not?” I treated it as a temporary, in-between job until I could find something more permanent.
Little did I know, that “in-between” job would turn into my full-time passion. Business quickly picked up, and making it my career was an easy decision. I thrive on the creative process—playing with colors, designing new pieces when inspiration strikes, and bringing people’s ideas to life. My work has helped customers turn houses into homes, find meaningful gifts for loved ones, and create sentimental keepsakes. Every time someone shares how much their piece means to them, it reignites my passion all over again.
I never expected to find myself in this career, but embracing the unknown and treating life as an adventure has led me to something truly fulfilling. With every item I make, I fall more in love with what I do. And let’s be honest—handmade is always better, right?
