Sasha | Handcrafted Neckware was born in 2009 out of the need/want for a necklace I couldn't find anywhere else. I wanted to wear a soft chiffon statement necklace to an upcoming wedding and figured I'd just make the vision in my mind. At that moment, I was hooked! Sure, I've sewn numerous dresses (including my wedding dress) and crafted my whole life.. but there was a satisfaction in this outfit completer that I wanted to keep exploring. Over the last several years, I have experimented with various textiles, findings and beads and am so happy to present my collections to you!

I grew up in Solon, Ohio where I began crafting jewelry using unconventional materials at an early age. My nickname growing up was Sasha, so the name of my business accurately reflects this immense creative time in my life. I studied Fashion Merchandising & Art Therapy at Mercyhurst College, where I learned the patience & practice of sewing and business. Residing in Pittsburgh, PA for 12 years, I’ve worked for fashion-forward retailers perfecting the art of merchandising & buying.

I thoroughly enjoy ever aspect of the product development process. My pieces are not only unique necklaces, but works of art and the result of a very fun process! There are endless ways we can express ourselves and I hope you see yourself in the color, patterns, textures and symmetry used.
