About SecondhandShawty

How Secondhand Shawty came to be...

I started my shop kind of on a whim. I resigned from my full-time position as a graphic designer at the time and I needed something to do when I wasn't working my two part-time gigs in retail. Although I no longer work retail, the skills I learned as a sales associate, as well as being a designer, definitely helped Secondhand Shawty get off to a great start when it came to branding, practicing great customer service and styling. One of my oldest friends helped me to come up with the name which I felt perfectly represented me, an Atlanta native who loves to thrift! I started thrifting in college because it was a great way to save money on clothes and it was fun. I love rummaging through racks of clothes and accessories, finding new and interesting things, particularly those made in the 80's and 90's because I feel that they have the best colors and patterns. I had always gotten so many 'Where did you get that?'s that I figured that it was time to share my fun thrift finds with everyone else!
