I have been a decorative painter and teacher for years. Painting is certainly my first passion, but take one look at my shop and you will see that I am easily distracted! I am a bit of a scavenger and am thrilled to drag discarded items home to paint or re-purpose. Working with my hands, experimenting with different mediums, making something out of nothing and giving old, neglected items a new and more beautiful life makes me so happy!
Greatly influenced by Farmhouse comfort, French design, Shabby Chic charm, Napa Valley living and all things vintage dictate not only my work, but also carry forth in my home, garden and cooking. Everything should speak toward beauty and detail with a touch of the unexpected!
Every farmhouse needs a dog! Andy, my very intelligent, handsome terrier is my faithful assistant. His sole responsibility in the studio is to find each sunny spot. I would venture to say that he is very accomplished in that area of expertise. :-)
On a personal note, I am married to a great guy who is a fabulous writer and have three daughters and one son in law who are all very creative as well. I am so lucky to be surrounded by so much creativity. It feeds my soul and certainly makes for an understanding family!
