I've been making jewelry since I was a kid. I've always been enamored by magic and the mystical, by elves and fairies and vampires and witches, by sorceress queens and shield maidens, and by the romantic beauty found in fantasy. I would stay up until the late hours of a school night constructing a beaded chainmail headpiece that looked like it was straight out of Lord of the Rings. I wanted to express my individuality through my love of magic and fantasy. I wanted to feel like I could channel the elegance of a woodland elf, or the cool gothic style of a victorian vampire. Channeling these magical beings through my jewelry made me feel creative and unique. To others I may just be wearing a garnet ring, but in my mind it is the talisman of a warrior queen, and when I'm wearing it I can conquer any task in my path, whether it is conquering nations or making a presentation at the office. I may be grown now, but I still find joy in these things - and now I'm old enough to play with fire in my studio!
