I have always been the crafty type and began dabbling in jewelry-making sometime around 2007 with one of my daughters, Kirsten. One of her friends was into jewelry making with semi precious stone and the day she brought her beads over, we were instantly hooked! A whole new beautiful world of stone opened up to us and we went a little crazy, buying stone beads, going to bead shows, etc. We started Stone Bliss Designs in 2009 because we had made more than we could possibly ever wear, but wanted to keep creating.

Stone Bliss Designs is basically my hobby business now as Kirsten eventually became busy with school, work, getting married, etc, to do much jewelry making, but would still contribute items now and then. I work out of my home at the dining table in my sun room. The table is usually covered and my husband says he doesn't mind, but I do my best to clean it up from time to time. I have a lot of natural light and a flower garden in the back yard I can view for inspiration.

I set up my Etsy shop in 2010, but didn't really do much with it until 2011. I started with bracelets and necklaces, but in recent years, my most popular items have been earrings. I enjoy wire wrapping and experimenting with new techniques. Kirsten loved working with Swarovski Crystal and there are still a few of her pieces in the shop. While stone is the focus, I look for fun and unique beads of all types; natural, glass, acrylic, metal, etc. Knitting is a hobby of mine is well and I make fingerless mitts, cowls, scarves and other accessories. I sell my knit items along with jewelry at the local craft shows I do in the fall. Hopefully, I will be offering my knit items in my Etsy shop in the future.

Most of the things I make are one of a kind, but I can duplicate some items, depending on the availability of the stones used. Custom orders are welcomed!
