I've been crocheting on and off for over 20 years but never really "learned" the terms or basically ad have just been going where the yarn and my audacity takes me. Heather broke this down way more than she needed to, and I also found her tutorial on youtube and was able to reference that when I got stumped on the written instructions. Tons of care went into making this, and it shows!

4 out of 5 starsThe pattern was pretty straight forward. If you are unsure of sewing on items, you may want to look for tutorials. The directions simply say sew on, which makes sense once I thought about how the snake can be variable length. The pattern made me nervous when it simply said a skein for the bag and half a skein for the snake. For reference, I used one 130 yd/119m and 2.9 oz/85 g skein for the bag and had leftovers. I then used a 153 yd/140m and 3.5oz/100g skein for the snake and chaining the drawstring and still had a little leftover.
