Hello!
I'm thrilled you're here! Please be sure to check out the fun assortment of items available in my shop! http://www.studioRenee.etsy.com
About me: I am constantly distracted with new ideas, excited about my latest inspiration, and always searching for ways to evolve and beat my own best in my life and in my creative work. I live and breathe creating and I believe I arrived in this world with the goal of trying to mimic God, who I happen to think is the greatest artist ever (look around!).
I enjoy creating in so many different ways. Part of the thrill of my work is that on any given day I can work in so many different media, and find fulfillment in all, as well as the challenge to keep learning and improving. I can be a perfectionist and a workaholic, but when it's something you are passionate about, can you really call it work? I am passionate about teaching myself new skills and techniques, understanding how things work, and pushing established limits. My work in papier mache is a prime example. If someone tells me something can't be done in paper, I am determined to prove them wrong! I love that medium, and many others. I love salvaged materials in general, and I love traditional mediums such as acrylic, oil, watercolor, and pastels. I also love the tactile experience of knitting, weaving and sculpting with wire. I WISH there were more hours in a day.
I currently sell through my shop here, my home website. https://shop.createdbyrenee.com, and a local markets and shops. I love Etsy because it has allowed my business to become a worldwide venture, and introduced me to people and places with whom I never dreamed I would have the chance to interact! I am looking forward to expanding to more boutiques and to galleries in the near future. You can keep up with the latest by following me on Instagram and other social media (@createdbyrenee). You can also visit my home website to see more about me and my work.
I am continually inspired, and I hope my work inspires you! This is a "convo" friendly shop, so drop me a line if you have questions, custom requests, or just want to say hi! Thanks so much for taking a look :o)
Regards,
Renée
