It started with a Fullmetal Alchemist panel, pin back buttons became a passion.
Hi everyone reading this! My name is Erica! My shop name is actually partially my nickname given to me by my niece and nephews, Eri (Pronounced Air-y)!!! My story starts with a panel at an anime convention.
My group of friends and myself all cosplayed as the homunculi from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and we hosted a panel called "We Have Daddy Issues" and we had several games in which we would ask our audience to participate in for a treat.
In preparation for this panel, we created themed games and bought red jolly rangers ("philosopher's stones") and I made some pin back buttons with characters from FMA to hand out as big prizes. Some of the designs from back then, 2014, are the same as today!!!
For example, Alex Louis Armstrong, Izumi Curtis and Solf J. Kimblee are all the original designs. Others were slightly updated but most stay pretty true to their original design.
Another fun fact about these buttons is that they were all originally traditionally drawn on paper and colored with drying out primacolor markers. I took the designs to a nearby Staples to scan and print copies to cut and turn into buttons!
It wasn't until this March that I even owned a tablet and dabbled in digital art!
I also made the Soul Eater designs around the same time in 2014 but it did not include Stein, Spirit or Lord Death so I was very excited this Spring to finalize a collection, IT ONLY TOOK 7 YEARS LOL
My husband recently suggested I get my butt in gear and start selling these pins so this etsy was born.
I have also found a love of making stickers as well so that's a plus!
So that brings us to current day! I am in love with my tablet and the digital world!!! Feel free to reach out to me for anything because I'm just so happy to be here doing this!!!!
