I'm Mathilde Flatestøl, a Norwegian illustrator with a passion for storytelling and visual arts. Welcome to my Etsy store; Studio Thilde, where you'll find a curated collection of my nostalgic and heartfelt artworks.
Creativity has always been a part of who I am. As a child, I constantly explored different creative avenues, always juggling a dozen projects at once. This innate passion led me to pursue a degree in Visual Communication, where I honed my skills and deepened my love for art and design.
In recent years, I have narrowed my focus and embraced my role as an illustrator, particularly drawn to the world of children's picturebooks. My illustrations are crafted with storytelling in mind, aiming to capture imagination and evoke emotions. I illustrate how I see the world, and try to capture everyday moments as well as big adventures. I love creating artworks that feature landscapes, nature, and people, each piece telling its own unique story.
Every piece you find in my store is a labor of love, created with the utmost care and attention to detail. I combine both digital techniques and traditional mediums to bring my visions to life, ensuring each artwork is high-quality and meaningful. I work from my home studio in Bergen, Norway. When I'm not creating art, you can find me reading a good book, knitting something warm, or baking using my mum's recipes.
