I'm delighted with this beautiful painting, which now graces my dining-room wall and is both calming and cheerful. The colors and composition are exquisite. Shipped quickly, arrived in perfect condition. Thank you!!!

Got here fast and I LOVE IT!! I love the idea of paying it forward. Of course I'd heard of that before, but this is such a happy, glowing reminder. Thank you, Faith.

I am here to tell you that if you buy one of Faith's pieces, it is so much more beautiful in person than you could imagine! The title of this one (She Opened Her Heart To The Sky) drew me in at first, and the artwork is so perfect! And then, besides, there's a wonderful little poem scribbled on the back -- how can I frame it and hide that? I've set it on a shelf, just as it is, and it makes me HAPPY! I love this--thank you so much, Faith. And also for the extra little surprises included. Keep making this good stuff!

SUNDRIP 2015-2016 Collection

April 19, 2015 (Updated at the bottom)
I am thankful to everyone for their continued support of SUNDRIP – Art for Life.

Last winter in 2015 I had to put my shop on vacation notice because of health problems. I had severe complications with Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Sciatica and Spinal Stenosis. I spent the majority of the last three months bed bound due to high pain levels and loss of feeling in my legs. During that time I wasn't able to paint as usual. I wasn't able to utilize my paints as before or manage larger pieces of art work. As I lay in bed with a heated blanket under me and one on top it felt as if I had just been taken into the arms of the world's largest, softest teddy bear. It felt great and helped ease some of the pain.

Though the blankets were cozy there was a part of me that felt trapped by my illnesses. My anxiety levels were off the charts. So what could I do to manage it? Art. I began to sketch. When there was nothing I could think of to sketch I scribbled. Dry media was my focus because its a bit hard to paint while laying flat with a back brace, knee braces and arm compressions. It was an ugly time. Had it not been for several sketchbooks size 5 x 7, I would have lost my mind.

All of the new art pieces posted from July 16th on are art pieces I completed in bed. I had my pencils, pens and markers as well as crayons moved over to me so that I could reach in a bin and get what I wanted. Many pieces were done in black and white. To create these pieces I used 60 black permanent pens, 3 pastel white markers, ink pens, crayons and a tremendous amount of energy.

When I looked at all the artwork I was very proud. I was proud that I made it through that arduous time, and I am pleased with what I produced while in survival mode.

Thank you again for the cards, emails and phone calls. Thank you!

As of August 15th, the very last piece in the Last Lullaby Collection was completed and posted for sale. Though I am not bedridden in the way I was, I still struggle day to day with Lupus and other issues, for which art is a healing force. Because my body is weakened, I spend a lot of time in it or around the bed. This facilitated the now fully covered bed that protects the mattress and floor as I work with wet media. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

As you look through the collection on Etsy and my website, you will find art that shows strength, weakness, desperation, anxiety, hope and wonder. I hope you find connection with the 2015 and 2016 creations from SUNDRIP - Art for Life.
