A Homeschool Project Gone Rouge
Welcome to The Traveling Postcard!
Our journey began in the most unexpected way—a homeschool art project that evolved into a beloved hobby. It all started when we decided to blend creativity with learning, turning a simple art assignment into an engaging exploration of design, entrepreneurship, and economics. What began as a classroom experiment quickly sparked a passion for crafting unique postcards.
During this project, we delved into the world of Postcrossing and the Homeschool Postcard Exchange, connecting with people from all corners of the globe. This connection and exchange of creative ideas became a source of inspiration, leading us to experiment with various materials and techniques.
As we honed our skills, our passion grew beyond the classroom. What started as a blend of watercolor, ink, or digital art using Procreate turned into a full-fledged hobby. We started incorporating mixed materials, quilting elements, or digital art into our designs, creating postcards that are not just pieces of paper but small, handcrafted works of art.
Each postcard we create is a reflection of our journey from a homeschool project to a thriving Etsy shop. We take pride in crafting each piece with care! Some are inspired by our love of traveling, hence the name.
Thank you for joining us on this creative adventure. We hope our postcards bring a smile and a touch of joy to your life, just as creating them brings to ours.
Warmest wishes,
Shannon & Isaac
