TheCuteHunter vintage shop here on Etsy opened its digital doors in 2013, simultaneously superpowering and showcasing the vintage scouting obsession of shop owner Kate AKA The Cute Hunter.

The Cute Hunter first discovered thrifting in the late 90s as a way to experiment with style on an after-school-job budget. She quickly developed a taste for vintage and more strikingly for the needle-in-a-haystack style treasure hunt of it all! She began tenaciously developing her eye for quality and cuteness in wearable vintage fashion, vintage bags and functional retro homewares while moving and travelling often.

Enter, Etsy, 2013. What began as an outlet for the excess finds from a vintage scouting hobby steadied itself over the years into a basic income gig purveying the cutest in vintage goods to those with similar aesthetics. Once bound by the restrictions of her own size and whether or not she already had one of something, The Cute Hunter, now on Etsy, is free to go wild on the hunt bagging the cutest in all sizes and similarities of vintage finds for the Etsy market.

In 2017, four years after her original shop launch, The Cute Hunter teamed up with her west coast dwelling bestie Bonnie to found Second Shot Boutique. This second shop allows The Cute Hunter to scout all the cute west coast vintage well beyond the capacity of her suitcase with a separately managed storage, processing and shipping location now in Portland Oregon [UPDATE: Bonnie moved to Denver and so did the Second Shot's shipping location!). In the spring of 2020 The Cute Hunter joined Trunkshow Raleigh where she keeps a brick and mortar stall alongside dozens of other local vintage and handmade sellers. To The Cute Hunter, vintage things in themselves are *almost* as awesome as the fun of hunting for them at the flea markets, thrift stores, stoop sales, vintage markets, estate sales and charity shops she finds herself drawn to across North America.
