A hopeless romantic...
...and a girly girl through and through-I love frills, dresses, flowers, and anything that sparkles. I have long held a fascination of the past, and feed my love by participating in vintage dancing, which allows me to play dress up for an evening and experience the romance of the victorian era. When I am not in my studio, I can be found on stage, photographing children, or working on a novel.
I have been a crafter for as long as I can remember, but I have never considered myself an artist. I began designing jewelry because I wanted to give my sister something special for helping so much with my wedding, and was surprised to discover how therapeutic it was for me to sit quietly in the sunshine and design something beautiful. Better still, I can combine my love of vintage jewelry with my newfound passion. Vintage costume jewelry is so high quality, and it thrills me when I can repurpose an unwanted or damaged piece into a new treasure. Plus, it helps to keep those things out of our landfills, and that's a win win for me.
I am always surprised at craft fairs when people ask me if I make the items I sell. The answer is yes! Everything I make is not only handmade, but it's a one of a kind piece-I never make the same thing twice. You are not only buying well made jewelry, but you will be wearing a piece of art.
