A Little Idea
Tiny Telegrams was created out of a love for all things miniature and a nostalgia for a very nerdy childhood obsession with top secret spy kits, books and adventures. Combine that with a desire to use art to help people connect with each other in a world so full of distractions and you have tiny telegrams!
We believe that just a small token of appreciation can impart a whole lot of love! We hope you will join us on this journey and look forward to playing a part in bringing smiles to faces everywhere.
All of the telegram forms, packaging designs and logos are hand designed using carefully curated fonts and a blend of vintage woodcut designs and freehand designs. They are sent to a local printer for offset printing (you don't want us using our crappy all-in-one inkjet, trust us on that), then hand cut, folded and sorted here in our Tiny Telegram Office- Ready to be handwritten in tiny printing and shipped directly to your loved ones!
How it works:
1. Select your desired Telegram motif, we currently offer Hanukah menorah, candles with holly for Christmas and the holidays, or Anvil and hummingbird designs for everyday.
2. Place the desired telegram in your cart, along with any desired add ons or upgrades.
3. Before checkout, decide what you would like to say to your intended recipient in 50 characters or less (including any spaces or punctuation, or "stops" if you would like it to read like a traditional old-timey telegram).
4. During check-out, enter the address of the person you are sending the telegram to so we can send it directly to them. In the "Notes to Seller" form, write your message exactly as you would like it to appear on the telegram. Also, include the To: and From: fields (these are not included in the 50 character count). This space is extremely limited, so we recommend first name only, or if the note is from or to a couple or family using last names only (ie: To: the Johnsons).
5. Leave the rest to us! Your selected telegram will be hand-transcribed using microwriting and a very, very, very fine tipped pen. We will place it in your envelope color of choice, package it up beautifully in a tin* with magnifier and cocktail sword "letter opener" seal it with wax and send it via USPS First Class** in a protective bubble envelope.
* While our telegrams are all packaged in tin boxes, the decoder wheels are placed in 2 inch white coin envelopes, sealed and packaged with a protective piece or chipboard in a small cream envelope (for 1 cipher) or kraft envelope (for a set of 2 ciphers sent to a single address). The matchbook notebook sets are tied gently together with twine and shipped in a bubble mailer.
